INTERNAL
INVESTIGATIONS
Bynum
& Jenkins has extensive experience conducting
investigations and representing corporations and individuals that
are the subject of investigations.
The firm routinely
conducts internal investigations for our corporate clients in matters
brought by state and federal law enforcement. Two of the Firm’s
partners are former Assistant United States Attorneys who bring over
thirty years of white collar prosecution experience to the Firm.
Where an internal
corporate investigation is necessary, our lawyers bring discretion,
business savvy and incisiveness to the table. Our experience is broad,
and while the results of our work are often only disclosed in the boardroom.
We work proactively
and strategize with our clients on the handling of governmental investigations
from the day the first subpoena is served. Whether it is a seemingly
routine inquiry, or a high-profile matter, our litigators bring intelligence,
integrity and good judgment to the process, minimizing the clients’
risk and maximizing the likelihood of the best outcome.
Bynum
and Jenkins can represent corporations and their officers,
directors and employees in internal investigations, grand jury investigations
and trials, administrative enforcement proceedings and other types
of government investigations. We also counsel directors on corporate
governance issues, with particular emphasis on directors’ oversight,
fiduciary duty and liability issues.
